The deputy spokesperson for Vox in the Madrid Assembly, Íñigo Henríquez de Luna, said on Wednesday that it is “an absolute priority to guarantee the gratuitousness of Early Childhood Education from 0 to 3 years old.”
He recalled that there are 32,000 families who do not receive any support to face the cost of Early Childhood Education for their children and stressed that Vox has promoted an initiative to ensure free school spending for children from 0 to 3 years of age in the Community of Madrid.
After commenting that this measure has also been reproduced by the President of Galicia, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, he said that “we are glad that the PP are going to tow our initiatives.”
He wondered why in the Government chaired by Isabel Díaz Ayuso they are against guaranteeing free education and urged the regional Executive to change its opinion in the face of the Plenary in which the initiative is debated.
In his opinion, this initiative is a “fundamental” measure that benefits all citizens and, in addition, it is “a way to help the birth rate”.
“Young families in Madrid have a very difficult time, they have many expenses that they cannot bear,” lamented Henríquez de Luna, who recalled that a nursery school costs around 500 euros while the nursery check barely reaches 160, and that families are already they find separate expenses such as access to housing.
